Fraud Prevention: Protecting Yourself from Scams, Phishing and Social Engineering – 1-3 p.m. Saturday, May 4, in the Polson Library Community Room; Polson Police Chief George Simpson, Polson’s IT Director Adam Reed join the library’s digital services clerk, Brycen, in a free class designed to help participants understand what types of electronic threats are out there and detail common techniques used by scammers.

MMIP Walk/Run – 9 a.m.-2 p.m. May 4 as SKC Silver Fox Golf Course and the Joe McDonald Health and Fitness Center in Pablo; register from 9-10 a.m. on the day of the event. While there is no fee, donations will go to CSKT’s Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons Victim Services Assistance Fund.

Family Engagement Night – 5:30-7:30 p.m. May 8 at Polson High School Gym; free event highlights local summer activities while offering cultural events and fun for families. Dinner will be served while the food lasts. Email brittany@familiesfirstmt.org.

Theodore Roosevelt: The Man in the Arena – 1-2 p.m. May 10 at the North Lake County Library Community Room in Polson; Mission Valley Live presents this celebration of the life, acts “and the exuberant excellence the former president. Derek Evans, a professional actor and scholar, delivers the essence of Theodore Roosevelt in this free program. Seating is limited; pick up a free ticket at the library.

Business 2 Business Conference – 9 a.m.-noon May 11 at 46873 U.S. 93 N. in Polson; local business leaders share insights, while the local businesses showcase goods and services. Register at B2Bpolson.com.

Endangered Species Day – 11 a.m.-3 p.m. May 16 at Mission Mountain View Point on Hwy. 93, south of Ronan; make a pollinator seed ball and learn about Monarch butterflies and the importance of wildflowers to endangered native pollinators. Help plant pollinator species, learn to use herbicides safely and identify other endangered species on the Flathead Reservation. Visit www.endangeredspeciesday.org.

Ladies Night Out – 5-8 p.m. May 17 in downtown Polson; grab your gals for an evening of shopping, food, drinks, and deals.

Open Mic and Jam – 7 p.m. Fridays at the Western Montana Musicians Co-op, Ronan; also on tap is a weekly Community Jam at 7 p.m. Saturdays. The cooperative is located in the Red Poppy Building, 1 Eisenhower St. SW in Ronan. Learn more at www.mtmusic.org.
