ST. IGNATIUS — Grace Vermont (Adamson) Wadsworth, better known as "Monte" died at her home with her family around her and in her husband's loving arms on Nov. 18, 2006. She was a beloved wife, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She has gone home to her heavenly father.

Monte was born Nov. 30, 1919, in Shelley, Idaho. She was the fifth child of six children born to George and Phoebe (Grace) Adamson. She went to a two-room school in Stanton and graduated from Shelley High School in 1936.

She then went to work at the PDQ cafe in Shelley and met her husband- to-be who worked down the street at the PDQ Gas Station. In 1937 Monte met LeGrande Dee Wadsworth who was the love of her life. On December 14, 1948 they were married and started the amazing journey of life together. They celebrated almost 69 wonderful years of love and marriage. LeGrande and Monte were also sealed for life and eternity in the Idaho Falls temple.

In January 1941, LeGrande and Monte moved to Bremerton, Wash., with their first daughter, Judy. LeGrande worked in the Navy shipyards and one year later their second daughter, Linda, was born.

They remained in Bremerton until the war was over. They then moved to the Shelley/Blackfoot, Idaho, area and opened a machine shop. Their first son, Scott, was born in 1946 and they then moved to a farm in Monteview, Idaho. Their last son, Paul, was born 12 years later. The family worked hard.

In 1970 they moved to the Mission Valley in St. Ignatius, where they have farmed and ranched for the last 36 years. They also started Wadsworth Manufacturing in October 1988. Monte loved being out in the hayfield. She worked at Terry's Manufacturing sewing bags, making gun cases and garment bags for years.

Monte loved her family, daughters, sons, all of her grandchildren including 35 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Monte was preceded in death by her parents, Phoebe (Grace) and George Delos Adamson; sisters Mildred Cook, Lois Hansen; brothers Gerald, Wendell, and James Adamson; grandson Mark Lott; great- grandson Ryan Lott, and four other infant grandchildren.
