Wunderlich, William P.

St. Ignatius - William P. Wunderlich, 88, passed away Saturday, Oct. 25 at St. Luke's Community Hospital in Ronan.

One of five children, he was born in Winona, Min. on Dec. 5, 1913 to Arthur and Ann (Fetting) Wunderlich. Bill served in the Army K-9 Corps during WW II and later with the US Air Corp.

Bill moved to the St. Ignatius area in the 1980s, where he continued raising and training field trial dogs and registered Black Angus.

A devout Catholic, Bill was a member of the St. Ignatius Catholic Church and the Church Guild.

Survivors include his sons Mike (Cathy) of Pen. and William "Skipper" (Charlene) of Min. and a daughter, Linda Murry, also of Min.; three sisters — JoAnn Day, Phyllis Prokopowicz, and Ann Marie Wells; and a brother, Warren Wunderlich, as well as his grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

The Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Thursday at the St. Ignatius Catholic Mission in St. Ignatius, with Mass being celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the St. Ignatius Catholic Mission.

A mass was held Tuesday, Nov. 4 at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. with interment in the St. Mary's Cemetery in Winona, Min. where Military Honors were be presented.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to the St. Ignatius Catholic Mission.
