Bingo on the Boat

The Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes welcomes you to Bingo on the Boat, a fun-filled event aboard KwaTaqNuk’s tour boat, The Shadow. Boarding begins at 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 30, the event will include a cruise on the lake, refreshments and entertainment. Please call (406) 883-8364 with any questions.

 

Sanders County Fair

Come join the fun at an old-fashioned county fair, the fair kicked off on Monday, and continues through Sept. 2. There is no charge to enter the fairgrounds for this event. For more information, call the fair office at (406) 826-3202. 

 

Community Dinner

Free Fifth Friday Community Dinner, Aug. 31, will be at Polson Community Church, 1814 First Street East, from 5 to 7 p.m. Roast beef is on the menu. Bring your friends and start the holiday weekend with a good meal. All are welcome.

 

Flavors of the Northwest

KwaTaqNuk Resort is hosting Flavors of the Northwest Cooking Competition with guest judge and celebrity chef Joey Campanaro. The cooking competition will feature four 3-person teams competing on a variety of dishes. The event will be held Friday, Sept. 7 at 7 p.m. at the KwaTaqNuk Resort. Polson Fly-In

Chapter 1122 of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) will be hosting the Polson Fly-In at the Polson Airport on Saturday, Sept. 8 and admission is free!  Attendees will be able to see static displays, float planes, antique aircraft, experimental airplanes, and homebuilts. Herb Group Meets

“Thyme for Herbs Group” will meet Tuesday, Sept. 11 at 7 p.m. at the North Lake County Public Library Meeting Room in Polson at 2 First Avenue East (use the east side door). The topic for the meeting is “Building Your Immune System.”  Many people are struggling with staying well.  We will help you understand the nutritional and medicinal value of herbs in maintaining your health.  Come hear a presentation and join in the discussion.  Anyone interested is invited to join us.  If you have questions please call Linda Peterson at 319-2446.

 

Veterans Claim Assistance

Ms. Roxanne Blanche, Service Officer for the Montana Veterans Affairs Division in Missoula, will be available to veterans and their dependents that have questions or need to file a claim with the Department of Veterans Affairs on the second Thursday of every month. The upcoming dates are Sept. 13 at the Polson Senior Citizens Center from 10 a.m. to noon, and Sept. 13 at Ronan Senior Citizens Center from 1 to 2 p.m. For more information call (406) 542-2501.

 

Arlee CDC Meets

The Arlee Community Development Corporation (Arlee CDC) will hold its annual meeting on Tuesday, Sept.18, at 6:00 p.m. in the Salish Senior Center on Bitterroot Jim Road in Arlee. New Board Members will be elected by the members of the Arlee CDC and the Board will review the past year’s activities and the future of the Arlee CDC.  The meeting is open to the public and members are encouraged to attend as they will vote for new board members.
