CLASS FOR CAREGIVERS
Powerful Tools for Caregivers classes are scheduled for six Thursdays, August 11- September 15 in Polson. Time for the class is 10-11:30. The classes are sponsored by the Area VI Agency on Aging to help caregivers thrive in this most difficult life role. Please call Jane at 1-800-266-4188 for more information or to sign up. SUPPORT GROUP
An adult sexual assault support group will begin on July 13, Wednesdays from 4:30 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the Agnes Vanderburg Building Room 101 at Salish Kootenai College. Childcare and snacks will be provided. Sexual violence can look many different ways – rape, incest, attempted rape, fondling, or any unwanted sexual contact. These acts are never the sex assault survivor’s fault.

If your pet microchip has not been checked for a while this a free service to make sure it is still effective.

BIBLE THEATER
Living Logos will visit Polson Foursquare Church on Sunday, Aug. 14 at 10 a.m.
Rod and Jenni Carlson have been traveling with www.livinglogos.org since
2003. They have memorized entire books of the Bible and put it to drama.

WOLF CLASS
Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks will host a wolf trapper certification class in Missoula on Saturday, Aug. 27 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the FWP Region 2 office at 3201 Spurgin Road.
Certification is mandatory for anyone planning to trap wolves in Montana, and trappers who successfully completed a wolf trapping course in Montana or Idaho do not need to retake the course.
Classes are free, and interested students can check the schedule and register online at fwp.mt.gov. Follow the links to “hunter education.” Classes will also be held in Bozeman on Aug. 13 and in Kalispell on Dec.10.
In addition to specifics on equipment and techniques, participants will learn about the history, ethics, management and regulations related to wolves and wolf trapping.
VACATION BIBLESCHOOL
Zion Lutheran Church will be having Vacation Bible School from August 15 through Aug. 19 at Second and Diamond in St. Ignatius. It will be from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with a snack provided for ages kindergarten through fifth grade. The theme is Barnyard Roundup and will have games, songs, crafts and lots of fun. All children and their parents are welcome to attend.
FREE “NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM”

HUNTERS EDUCATION
The Ronan-Pablo Fall Hunter Education course will begin Wednesday, Aug. 24, in Room 118 of the Beaverhead Math & Science building on the Salish Kootenai College campus in Pablo. Interested students are required to register online now at fwp.mt.gov. A parent or guardian must accompany students under 18 to the first night along with the signed forms from the website.
Pickup manuals at the following locations prior to class: Ronan Sports and Western, Westland Seed, Murdochs and Walmart in Polson. The entire manual must be read and chapter quizzes completed before the first class:
Only individuals 11 years of age or older at the day of sign-up may be certified upon successfully completing the course.
Volunteer instructors will begin instruction for the Hunters Education course on Wednesday, August 24th. Classes will continue on Thursday, Aug. 25, and Friday, Aug. 26. All classes will begin at 6:30 p.m. and end at 9:00 p.m. each evening. A mandatory field course is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 28. The test review and test will be on Monday, Aug. 29.
All hunter education classes are free of charge and open to hunters and non-hunters alike. Some students take the courses for the firearm safety and outdoor survival information, even if they don’t plan to hunt.
