Polson won the game 5-3, behind a hat trick from Kyla Heiser. Autumn Burland dished a pair of assists in the match, while Ali Hupka and Tia Mercer scored solo goals off assists from Jazlyn Dalbey and Mady Luikart respectively.

In the second game against the Billings U16 Thorns, the team knotted the contest twice before a late goal forged Polson ahead. However Billings was able to tie the contest at three apiece with a late goal. In the game Autumn Burland scored a brace, two goals, while Kyla Heiser netted the initial equalizer as well as dished the assist in the second half equalizer.

Polson coach Jess Kittle rated the Billings contest as, “the best game we have played this season so far.”

“Megan Rost did an amazing job stopping hard shots from the Billings attack and the entire defense did a great job of holding Billings to taking most of their shots from 20 yards and out,” she added.
