Dennis “Lars” Dwight Spence

Dennis “Lars” Dwight Spence passed away July 7, 2020 at Polson Health and Rehabilitation. Originally born in Williston, North Dakota in 1944, Dennis was a longtime resident of Polson.

He is preceded in his death by both parents, Ray and Sylvia Spence; brother, Keith Spence; sisters, Vera Ducharme, Lillian Mohlzon and brother-in-law Sonny Hildenstab; his first wife, Amber and infant daughter, Crystal Jean, and eight nieces and nephews: Randy ‘Ole’, Albertine Loretta ‘Susie’; Jerry Joe ‘Joe’, Carol; Nancy, Richard ‘Dick’; Roxanne ‘Roxy’ and Robert ‘Robbie’.

He is survived by his three daughters, Rachel (Steven) Hungary of Aurora Colorado, Maria ‘Rhi’ Spence of Ronan, Sylvia (Jesse) Lindahl of Marion, is two grandsons Lucas Hill and Austin Lindahl, brother Sam (Sherry) Spence, sisters Charlotte (Gene) Bird, Karen (John) Synness, Lenore Hildenstab, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dennis worked in a variety of fields, from the Uranium Mines in Jeffery City Wyoming to Plum Creek in Pablo.

He was an excellent handyman, able to fix nearly any mechanical break-down. He enjoyed watching sports, faithfully cheering on his U of M Grizzlies. He loved dad jokes, the cornier the better. He was a devoted Jehovah’s Witness and believed in the resurrection.
