Polson's Thiel to play golf at Carroll College

Polson High School senior Ellie Thiel signed a letter of intent last week to play golf at Carroll College in Helena, where she plans to major in biology and minor in anthrozoology.
Thiel earned all-conference honors as a sophomore and was all-state her junior and senior seasons. She finished 11th at the Class A state tournament at Butte in October. Polson finished fifth in the team standings.
Thiel signed her letter of intent during a closed ceremony at Polson High School on March 31. She will join fellow Lady Pirate senior Maggie Todd, who signed to play volleyball for the Saints a few weeks ago.
