One arrested after report of gunfire in Ronan

RONAN — Multiple law enforcement agencies responded to a reported disturbance near Fourth Avenue Southeast on Sunday night, and one male was taken into custody.

Dispatch reports indicate what began as a verbal confrontation led to shots being fired while dispatchers were on the phone with the reporting party, according to a statement from the Ronan Police Department.

Ronan police along with CSKT Tribal Law and Order and the Lake County Sheriff’s Office responded and were able to take one male into custody for felony charges related to the incident.

Authorities said no one was injured during the incident.

Lake County jail roster logs show one person was admitted Sunday: Nicolas Wartick, 19, of Ronan on charges of assault with a weapon and criminal child endangerment, nonviolent family. The Ronan Police Department is listed as the arresting agency.
