Mission falls to Deer Lodge, Florence

Mission had a 30-25 lead going into the fourth quarter but fell to Western 6B foe Deer Lodge in nonleague action on Saturday, Dec. 21.
Lex LaFrombois had another big game for Mission, scoring 28 points, while Vinny Shepard added eight points. The Wardens improved to 4-0 on the year with the victory.
Mission led 8-4 after one quarter, and the game was knotted 16-16 at halftime before the Bulldogs outscored their opponent by five points in the third. But Deer Lodge outscored the Bulldogs by 13 points in the final stanza for the 49-41 victory.
Florence showcased a strong offense last Friday, defeating Mission 73-41 in nonleague basketball action. It was Florence’s first win of the year.
