The annual membership campaign is underway and so far, we’ve exceeded expectations and are looking at a record year again. Dues are $15 and expire next August.

An office manager position is available. The job involves basic data entry and bookkeeping, secretarial and management, skills, scheduling, etc., with wage DOE.

We need sheet pans 18 x 24 inches, and food service quality. If any are in your garage, we could use them here.

Sign up at the center for computer/cell phone literacy classes. Bring your grandparents. Welcome to the 21st century!

See’s Candy is in! Due to increases in production costs, prices have taken a substantial increase. Prices are posted at the center and are below retail. We offer this as a service to our seniors. They make great gifts even though yours truly prefers choco-peanutbutter in an orange wrapper.

The center offers a free review of Medicare drug plans at noon Oct. 17 and a representative from Baily Insurance will offer information on Medicare plans Oct. 21.

Bowling “no-tap” is Tuesdays, 1-3 p.m. Have fun knocking those pins down (or not). Call Don at 406-885-5617 for details.

Activities at the Polson center, open to all, include: wood carving for beginners, 1 p.m. Wednesday and Friday, join any week; self-guided, video-assisted exercise, 10:30-11:30 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, sitting or standing; bingo, 6:30 p.m. Fridays ($100 blackout), with playing card bingo on the first and third Wednesdays.

Pinochle is now offered two days a week: 12:30-3 p.m. Mondays or Thursdays; beginners are welcome. Inquire at the center about bridge.

Wednesday is game day – bring a game and a group of friends from 1-3 p.m. The pool table is open 8 a.m.-3 p.m. weekdays.

A veteran’s service officer visits the center on the first Friday and third Tuesday of each month.

Meals are available for sit-down from 11:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m. weekdays, and delivered to qualified people who call before 10 a.m. A suggested donation of $5 helps support the nutrition program.

Upcoming main dishes include: meat loaf, Oct. 17; biscuits and gravy with sausage, Oct. 18; cream of veggie soup and ham salad sandwiches, Oct. 21; chicken enchiladas, Oct. 22; shepherd’s pie, Oct. 23; beef in a blanket, Oct. 24; and Birthday Dinner for Lunch with roast pork and all the fixings, Oct. 25.

The center is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays at 504 Third Ave. E. For more information, call 406-883-4735, email polsonseniorcenter@gmail.com or visit us on Facebook.
