The Mission-Arlee-Charlo (MAC) baseball team continues to search for its first win of the season after falling 13-0 to Stevensville on Thursday, April 3, in a five-inning, mercy-rule contest.

Stevensville jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, plating five runs in the first inning and adding three more in the second. A five-run third inning broke the game wide open and put MAC in a deep hole. The game was called after five innings due to the run rule.

MAC, now 0-3 on the season, struggled to generate offense, managing just one hit – a single from Macklen McDonald in his only at-bat. The rest of the lineup was stifled by Stevensville’s pitching, combining for 11 strikeouts and no walks.

On the mound, Vinny Shepard got the start for MAC and pitched 2-1/3 innings, allowing nine hits and 12 runs – 11 of them earned – while striking out three and walking four. Jason Leishman came on in relief and gave up one earned run over 1-2/3 innings, striking out one and walking one.
