Suspicious death reported in Polson

The Lake County Sheriff reports that a woman’s body was found in her home Sunday “under suspicious circumstances.”

Lake County 911 received a call at around 1 p.m. Feb. 16, requesting a welfare check on 48-year-old Kimberly Goodson of Polson, who hadn't been heard from by her family for a few days. Officers responded and found the woman deceased in her home under suspicious circumstances.

The Lake County Sheriff/Coroner's Office was summoned and has since investigated the scene. The woman’s body has been sent to the State Medical Examiner's Office for autopsy and the case remains under investigation by the Lake County Sheriff and Coroner's Office, with assistance from the Polson Police Department.
