Polson chamber takes fresh approach to new year
The Polson Chamber of Commerce begins 2025 with a series of updates and initiatives designed to strengthen local business community by providing greater opportunities for growth, networking, and education to members and residents.
The chamber is replacing the traditional monthly luncheons and SPLASH events with a quarterly “Business Pulse” gathering. The new format aims to combine networking, learning and social engagement into a two-hour program.
The first “Business Pulse” event is scheduled for 5:30-7:30 p.m. Feb. 13 at Kwataqnuk Resort. Organizers say the evening will offer insights from industry experts and collaborative opportunities for businesses of all types.
Also on tap in 2025:
• Tourism & Prosperity Summit, Feb. 13 at Kwataqnuk Resort; inaugural event will focus on strategic marketing to attract more visitors to the community.
• Polson City Hall Meet-Up and Job Fair, May 3 at Polson City Hall, Police and Fire Stations and the North Lake County Public Library; explore career opportunities in law enforcement, firefighting, and other fields.
• Business Community Block Party, Aug. 21 in downtown Polson; celebration aims to showcase and support Polson’s small businesses.
• Health and Wellness Event, Nov. 20.

Artists encouraged to apply for cherry fest, MADE fairs
Organizers of Flathead Cherry Festival encourage artists, makers, and craftspeople to apply for the event, held July 26-27 in downtown Polson.
HandMADE Montana, the Polson-based business that organizes the festival, as well as the Bozeman Spring MADE Fair, May 2-3, and Missoula Summer MADE Fair, June 22, encourages artisans to apply for one or all three events.
The application deadlines for all the events are staggered: Bozeman, March 1; Missoula, April 1; and Flathead Cherry Festival, April 15. Applications are reviewed by a jury to ensure a diverse and high-quality selection of goods.
According to handMADE Montana proprietor Carol Lynn Lapotka, the events offer unique opportunities for artists to showcase their creative goods, connect with the community, and grow their businesses in dynamic, bustling markets.
