Ronan has several placers at Rocky Mountain Classic

Ronan had several placers at the Jug Beck Rocky Mountain Classic against AA competition and big schools from Washington and Idaho. The tournament was held Jan. 17-18 in Missoula.

The Chiefs’ Ridge Cote was third at 132 pounds, picking up four pins in the tournament and improving his tournament record to 22-5. He won via forfeit over Mead’s James Mason in the third-place match.

Koda King was fourth at 165 pounds, notching two technical falls and a major decision.

Jackson Davis placed sixth at 285 pounds, notching two pins and a 5-0 decision.

Mission-Charlo’s Joseph Cronk placed sixth at 118 pounds, notching two pins.

Polson defeats Whitefish

Polson scored two pins and seven forfeits in a 54-12 Northwestern A Conference duel win over Whitefish on Thursday, Jan. 16.

Gerardo Alverez won at 118 pounds, pinning Whitefish’s Achius Lee in 41 seconds. Daniel O’Roake notched a three-minute, 43-second pin over the Bulldog’s Carer Olson.

Polson also got forfeits at 110, 126, 132, 138, 157, 165 and 190 pounds.

Ronan notches dual win over Columbia Falls

Ronan notched a 50-29 dual victory over Columbia Falls on Thursday, Jan. 16, scoring three pins.

Justus Orman-Bergman pinned Columbia Falls’ Angel Lorenzana Enriguez in 5:19 at 118 pounds. Ridge Cote pinned the Wildcats’ Bradley Beck in 1:35 at 132 pounds, followed by Skylar Sias’ 9-4 decision for Ronan over Fisher Whitaker.

Koda King won via technical fall over Columbia Falls’ Dylan Delorme at 165 pounds, while Fred Webster notched a fall in 3:18 at 215 pounds.
