Maidens third in Livingston with 3 champs
Ronan placed third at the Park High Girls Invitational in Livingston over the weekend, having three girls win championships.
River Cote won the 105-pound division, scoring three pins, including one over Lockwood’s Wai Fandrich in the championship match. Leona Dodson Howe was also first at 155 pounds, notching three falls and then picking up a 16-1 technical fall over Browning’s Hayden Edwards.
Tirza TwoTeeth was also a champion at 285 pounds, collecting a pin in the semifinals and then pinning Browning’s Kendahl Guardipee in the championship bout.
Ronan’s Giselle Barron-Valenzuela placed second at 120 pounds, picking up a pin in the quarterfinals and winning by a major decision in the semifinals.
At 110 pounds, Marie Cheff was fourth, pinning three in her journey through the consolation bracket. Haven Houle was fourth at 285 pounds, scoring a pin in the consolation semifinals.
Lady Pirates place three at Park
The Lady Pirates had three placers at the Park High School Invite at Livingston over the weekend.
Vanessa Wheeler was second at 145 pounds, picking up pins in the quarterfinals and semifinals.
Amaja West placed fourth in the 120-pound bracket, notching two pins in the tournament, including a pin over Lockwood’s Anastasia Watters in the consolation semifinals in 3:49.
Polson’s Abighail Sorrell was third at 190 pounds, notching a decision and two pins, including a 59-second pin over Corvallis’s Sam Weidow in the third-place match.
