Fifth Friday Dinner –  4:30-6:30 p.m. Jan. 31 at Polson Community Church, 1814 1st St. E.; enjoy soup, roast pork, potatoes and gravy, green beans and rolls, and of course, a multitude of desserts. All are welcome.

CSKT’s Early Childhood Services Baby Fair – 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Feb. 1 at the Joe McDonald Health and Fitness Center on the campus of Salish Kootenai College; the annual fair highlights services, educational opportunities and products geared toward expectant mothers, babies and young children.

Fraud and Scam Prevention Course – 3-4 p.m. Feb. 12 at the North Lake County Library in Polson; Police Chief George Simpson offers tips designed to help the community recognize, avoid and respond to common scams and fraud attempts. Learn latest tactics used by scammers; how to identify red flags in emails, phone calls, websites, and online communications; how to safeguard personal information, and  trusted resources and organizations that can help fraud victims.

Montana Library Network Program: “Western Montana’s Restricted Districts, 1870-1940” – 6:30-8 p.m. Feb. 13 online; Sophia Etier presents this virtual program that dives into the rich history of the restricted – or red light – districts in Missoula and Hamilton. Kate Voss & the Hot Sauce – 7 p.m. Feb. 14 at Polson High School auditorium; variety band, led by the irrepressible Voss on vocals and ukulele, pulls jazz, blues, pop, country, western-swing, oldies, Americana and rockabilly. Mission Valley Choral Society Practices – 7-9 p.m. Thursdays, Feb. 13-May 1 at the First Presbyterian Church in Polson; vocalists rehearse for two spring concerts, May 3-4, under the direction of Cathy Gillhouse, who has selected a varied program of choral music.
