St. Joe receives sustainability award
Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Polson recently received a national award from Practice Greenhealth, the leading membership and networking organization for sustainable environmental solutions to hospitals. D
St. Joe’s won the Emerald Award for the top 20 percent of applicants which acknowledged the hospital and clinic’s focus on advanced sustainability programs and its exemplary scores in a range of categories.
Its parent organization, Providence St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, was honored nationally with a Top 25 Environmental Excellence award, given for performance in sustainability programs and was a top-scorer in the categories of waste, greening the operating room, energy and climate.
Logan Health opens new rehab clinic
Logan Health recently relocated its Polson rehabilitation clinic a few doors away from its former location to 103 Suite D, Whitewater Place, Polson.
Officials say the new location will benefit patients with more space, including private and open treatment areas, a more spacious gym and room to grow additional services.
“We recognize there is a need to provide more therapy services in Lake County and the opportunity to move into this location will enable our therapists to better serve patients and help us to grow our services,” said Logan Health Director of Rehabilitation Services Joe Bilau in a press release. He expects to add another full-time physical therapist and offer occupational therapy.
To celebrate the new space and introduce the staff, Logan Health Rehabilitation – Polson plans to host an open house in late summer or early fall.
