California man charged with murdering girlfriend, attempting to kill officer
The California man who allegedly fired approximately 27 armor-piercing rounds from a high-capacity weapon at a Polson Police officer’s vehicle Feb. 14 is also accusing of killing Polson resident Kimberly Goodson, 48, also on Valentine’s Day.

Polson sophomore organizes summer football camp
A Polson High School student is stepping up to give local athletes a big opportunity — and support a worthy cause. Incoming sophomore Case Cox is organizing the “More Than a Game Football Camp,” set to take place June 30–July 1 at Polson High School. The camp will feature youth and high school sessions led by a roster of experienced coaches and former pros, including Jim McElwain, Greg Peach, Sammy Akem, Mac Mallohan, Mike Cutler, and Tyler Whittier.

Justice for Kaylee Hale delayed due to no-show
John Philip Donaldson, the primary suspect in the death of Kaylee Hale, failed to appear in District Court in Polson March 24 for a trial on domestic abuse charges dating back to Dec. 30, 2023. The Lake County Attorney’s Office issued a warrant for his arrest in the amount of $200,000.

The Lake County Commissioners are holding a public hearing today on a resolution that would require property owners to file a “notice of new construction” with the planning department.
