Roger and Carolyn Wallace came out on top in the 18th annual Masters Fun Day golf tournament held Saturday, April 13 at the Polson Bay Golf Course. Play featured an 18-hole, two-person scramble, with members of 11 teams winning golf pro shop credits.

The tournament was presented by the Polson Bay Golf Course and Mission Valley Junior Golf Association, a 501(c)3 nonprofit.

According to Polson Bay’s PGA Head Golf Professional Cameron Milton, $3,000 was raised to benefit Mission Valley junior golf.

Each two-person team drew a “playing partner” from the Masters golf tournament field on the course in Augusta, Ga. The team score was added to the pro’s score for a final total.

The Wallaces’ playing partner — Patrick Cantlay — made the different in the final standings. Cantlay carded a sizzling 64 during Masters play Saturday. The Wallaces had a score of 60, giving them a total winning score of 124. They won $250 in credit from the Polson Bay pro shop.

THERE WAS a three-way tie for second place in the scramble. Darren and Pete Boehm, Bobby Bamford and Joe Cielak, and Dave Cottington and Matt Olson all finished with a 130 total. Each pair was awarded a $164 shop credit. Their totals were: the Boehms, 54 plus Howell 76); Bamford/Cielak, 62 plus Fowler 68; and Cottington/Olson, 57 plus Day 73.

Finishing in a three-way tie for fifth place with a 131 total were Bill and Brett Owen (64 plus Stenson 67); Roger Wallace and Robbie Hayes (60 plus Bradley 71); and Guy Benkleman and Steve Clairmont (61 plus Harding 70). Each pair received an $82 shop credit.

In a four-way tie for eighth place with a 132 total were Josh and Jamie Maki (60 plus Kaymer 72); Luke Taylor and Josh Burland (67 plus Molinari 66); Mike and Shawn Medland (64 plus Olesen 68); and Butch Junke and Lorrie Clark (60 plus Kisner 72). Each pair received a $28 shop credit.
