Rains cause widespread flooding, road closures
Several days of heavy rain caused flooding throughout the county last week, closing many roads including Hwy. 35, as road crews fought debris, clogged culverts and mudslides.

Gregory Daniel Stark was joyfully welcomed into the world by his parents, Michael and Barbara Stark on Dec. 14, 1978, in St. Ignatius. Shortly after his birth, Greg's family moved to Royal City, Wash., where Greg enjoyed a happy childhood and attended all 12 grades in the Royal School District. Greg excelled academically as well as athletically and enjoyed great success in track and cross-country.

GREAT FALLS — Ronan senior Kira Crenshaw went out on top breaking a school record and earning a state medal. Crenshaw ran the 3,200 in 12:14.40, setting a new school record, one previously held by Yvonne Clairmont since 1983. The time placed her fifth in the state 'A' track and field meet Saturday.
