Double shooting in Mission ends in suicide
Two women are hospitalized after apparently being shot by a family member early Sunday morning in St. Ignatius before the man turned the gun on himself and committed suicide.

POLSON — On Aug. 1, 1945, in the Portsmouth Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, Va., Warren and Ad Bilben welcomed their firstborn child. They named her Deedra Ann. Over the years the family grew with the addition of Steve, Hans, Ted and Jill. During her growing up years her family lived in Mankato, Laporte, Hollandale, and International Falls, all in Minnesota. Free time was spent with family and friends in the woods and on the lakes of Northern Minnesota.

ST. IGNATIUS — James Cleveland McElderry, 79, broke his earthy bonds on Independence Day at home July 4, 2006, surrounded by his loving family. Born Jan. 15, 1927 in St. Ignatius Mt. He grew up in Pine Creek, Idaho. He met and married Betty Jean Marisch on Oct. 2, 1945, in Spokane. They lived in Pine Creek and moved to St. Ignatius in 1953, where he built their home and raised nine children.
