Roger Bordeaux is a recovering alcoholic. He started drinking at age 15. Forty years later, Bordeuax still struggles. The once-homeless man has been cited on at least four occasions for driving under the influence and said he's been in and out of treatment at least 24 times.

POLSON — Lillian Opal Clough Davis, 92, died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007, at St. Luke Convalescent Center where she resided for the past 3-1/2 years. Lillian was born in Okmulgee, Okla., on Aug. 28, 1915, to Bertha and Fred Clough, the youngest of their three daughters. She graduated from high school in Okmulgee. Shortly after, while working in a local department store, she met the love of her life, George Tansil Davis. Following a short courtship, they were married at 9 a.m. on June 1, 1932, in Stillwater, Okla. Lillian and George lived a full and happy 55 years together.

BEMIDJI, Minn. — Former Polson resident Arlen George Dale was born on March 21, 1941, in Fertile, Minn., to parents Melvin and Pearl Dale. He was baptized at Evanger Lutheran church. He grew up on the farm in Fertile and graduated in 1959 from Fertile High School. Arlen was united in marriage to Bonnie Espe in Crookston, Minn., in 1970.

The third annual Polson Art Walk drew small crowds last Friday afternoon, despite cold temperatures and flurries of snow. Over 20 local businesses in downtown Polson opened their doors late to draw in both holiday shoppers and art aficionados. Most local owners said business was slower than last year because of the sudden storm, but there was still a fair amount of foot traffic.
