Valley all-stars win state tourney

HAMILTON - The Mission Mountain 12-year-old all-stars followed up their first place finish in Libby the weekend of July 15 with a championship at the state tournament in Hamilton.
For the first time in two decades, the Mission Mountain team earned a trip to the regional tournament in Eugene, Ore.
The team expressed appreciation to everyone who supported and donated to go toward the team's trip to regionals.
Team members include: Clint Irvine, Justin Evans, Matthew Detwiler, Kyle Bagnell, Lynn Birthmark, Xavier McAdams, Brock Picard, Staci Benson, Cory Hardy, Domenic Martinez, Westyn Kiehn, Kalieb Gillingham, and Casey Spang. The team was coached by Cal Hardy, Rick Kiehn and Dewey Schliep. Batboy is Collin Hardy.
