Charla Bick signs with Valley City State

VALLEY CITY, N.D. - Ronan High School graduate Charla Bick, is a solid addition to roam the outfield for the Valley City State College Vikings in the upcoming seasons. Charla contributed significantly to Dawson Community College's success the past two seasons.

Bick will carry a big bat into the lineup, hitting at a .337 average with 21 runs batted in and six extra base hits.

"Charla will be a leader for the Vikings and brings a hard nosed attitude to the Viking program," Vikings head coach Chad Slyter said. Any time you have the opportunity to sign an athlete and competitor of Charla's nature, you have to go for it. She has a lot of the intangibles that coaches look for in a softball player. Charla has the instinct and thinks the game as well as any player that I have seen in the past year. She is a coach on the field. I am very confident that Charla will be very good for us not only on the field but off as well.
