CHARLO — Keep rolling.

The Charlo Lady Vikings have been winning and kept their perfect season rolling with a 37-27 win over the Lady Bulldogs.

The Lady Vikings were rushing shots and did not have patience, according to Charlo head coach Bret Thompson, while the Vikings' scoring was pretty even across the floor.

Charlo's Hayley Carr led the scoring with eight, Amanda Murphy seven, and Stevie Sammons and Ma'rya Hungerford both had six. Charlo was able to spread the ball around and wait for the right moment to shoot.

On the flip side, Mission was unable to spread the scoring out. Tarn Potter led the Lady Bulldogs with 13 and Ashley Mitchell recorded six.

"We have to have more than four people score," said Les Rice, Mission head coach.

The Lady Bulldogs had their chance during the third quarter by outscoring the Vikings seven to five. It all came down to the fourth quarter when the Vikings put the game out of reach. During the fourth quarter the Vikings took control and out scored the Bulldogs 12 to four.

"We had some opportunities but did not take advantage of them," said Rice.

Next the Lady Vikings headed to Hot Springs and defeated the Lady Savages 49-32. Coach Thompson was able to scout the Lady Savages during the Hot Springs Tip Off Tourney and was able to see the sets they used. He noticed that most of their scoring came from the inside.

Armed with this knowledge Thompson and his Lady Vikings went into Hot Springs and picked up the win. Hungerford netted 14 points and six assists and Carr had 10 points.

"It makes it nice to score from all around the court," said Thompson.

With the win over the Lady Savages the Vikings would face Noxon at home Saturday night. With the 42-29 win over Noxon, Thompson picked up his 300th career win. Hungerford had her best game, according to Thompson, with 13 points, five steals, seven assists and seven rebounds.

"Hungerford is a good athlete and is always around the ball," said Thompson.

Rhondell Esterby recorded nine points during Saturday's game.

The Lady Vikings controlled the ball and had some big stops on defense.

"Overall, Noxon was the best team we have played this year," said Thompson.

After the 300th milestone win Thompson had a little celebration after the game with the community and his children who were home for winter break.

"I didn't think too much about it (300). I was more excited with the win over Noxon," said Thompson.

He said it was nice to have the support of community during his seasons.
