Annie V. Peterson
Annie V. Peterson, 86, a former Polson resident, passed into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Dec. 23, 2004, in Grants Pass, Ore.
A chapel service was held Dec. 27 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors of Grants Pass, who were in charge of arrangements. Pastor Walter Ferris officiated with burial at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens.
Annie was born in Felton, Minn., on Feb. 27, 1918, the second of six children. On Sept 8, 1937, she married Harold Peterson who survives her.
In 1950 they moved from Bemidji, Minn. to Montana where they lived in several cities before moving to Sequim, Wash., in 1981. In 1989 they moved back to Montana and settled in Polson. After she had a stroke in 2003, they moved to Grants Pass to be near their daughter and son-in-law.
Annie liked to travel in the R.V. as well as abroad including Ireland, Switzerland, Africa, and Israel. She also liked to garden. She was very active in her church, leading Bible Study groups for adult women as well as children. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Polson.
In addition to her husband of 67 years, survivors also include a daughter, Marilyn Percey of Grants Pass; three sisters, Elisabeth Sanders of Missoula, Helen Johnson of Solway, Minn., Irene Bjelajac of Minneapolis, and a brother, Roberts Marks of Rochester, Minn. A son, Donald Peterson, died in 1997. Her only grandchild died in 1989.She will be remembered for her love to her family and faithfulness to her loving Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ.
