POLSON - Geoffrey John Gardner, 19, of Polson, died on July 6, 2004, from a haying accident.

He was born on Jan. 4, 1985, in Great Falls to Greg and Lynn Gardner. Because of serious medical problems, Geoff had a very tough start in this world. But he had an indomitable spirit, a great sense of humor, and a smile for everyone.

Geoff grew up in Cascade where his parents ranched. He moved to Polson in 1990 with his parents, where they presently ranch. He attended Cherry Valley and Linderman schools and graduated from Polson High School in 2004. Geoff's favorite pastimes and activities were collecting model cars, running around on the four-wheeler, bird hunting, fishing, and socializing with his friends.

Geoff is survived by his parents, Greg and Lynn; his sister Brittany; grandparents John and Betty Gordon of Cascade and Irene Gardner of Belle Fourche, S.D., and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather Edwin Gardner.

A memorial service was held in the Polson High School auditorium in Polson on July 9 with Rev. Robert Phelps officiating. Cremation has taken place.

Memorials may be made in Geoff's name to the Polson High School Vocational Custom Production Class.

Arrangements and cremation were under the direction of Grogan Funeral Home and Crematory, Polson.
