Subdivisions take their toll
Editor,
I am one of those people against subdivisions. In fact, I think subdivisions are the devil. But I know that with time comes change.
You did a very thorough job of writing the editorial "Our Neighbors are Evolving." You brought many aspects into focus that people developing the property, as well as those people on neighboring properties, need to look at.
Every subdivision takes its toll on the habitat. It puts pressure on the wildlife and forces them into competition with other animals, cars and humans for survival. I feel that the long-term consequences to the environment are not worth the short-term gain to mankind.
I fear, as most people in this area, what Montana will look like in another 20 years - along with what the hunting and fishing will be like.
Thank you for bringing so many aspects into focus.
