Ann Muir Silvis
POLSON - Ann Muir Silvis, 86, of Polson, died of natural causes at her home on Nov. 2, 2004.
She was born April 7, 1918, in Cadogan, Pa., to Alexander and Catherine (McGregor) Muir. She married her high school sweetheart Wilmer Silvis on Nov. 11, 1936. They lived in New Kensington, Pa., until 1970, when they retired to Grand Canyon, Ariz., and then to Polson in 1976.
Ann loved to cook and sew, was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother, and she was very much loved by all who knew her. Ann was a member of the First Baptist Church in Polson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Wilmer (Sept. 12, 2004), three sisters, one brother, son-in-law John Goldston, grandson Troy Goldston, and great-granddaughter Mercy Marie Goldston.
Surviving are son David Silvis and wife Carolyn of Fort Wayne, Ind.; daughters Miriam Wisseman and husband Arlen of Polson and Cathy Goldston of Polson and Bluffton, Ind.; nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, and many loving and faithful nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Nov. 6 in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Rudy Ringhoff officiating. Private family interment followed at Lakeview Cemetery.
Memorials in Ann's name may be made to the First Baptist Church in Polson. Arrangements were under the direction of Grogan Funeral Home, Polson.
