Democrats can't do any worse

Editor,
Republicans have been in control of state government for 12 years. Montana's average annual wage ($26,000 in 2002) is last (50th) in the nation.
We need to give Democrats a chance to improve our quality of living. Democrats can't do any worse. We're already in last place.
Are you satisfied with the status quo?
