Larsen faces criminal charges again

| October 7, 2004 12:00 AM

Patrick Michael Larsen, 18 and three others were arrested and cited with common scheme criminal mischief the last week of September in Flathead County. Larsen faced juvenile rape charges last fall when he raped and assaulted a 15-year old Bigfork girl in Ferndale in October 2003.

Larsen admitted to the rape and was given a consent decree, a form of probation which spelled out the terms and conditions of conduct, which included obeying all state, county and city laws, not using illegal drugs and not using alcohol before his 21st birthday.

Larsen and three others allegedly shattered numerous business and auto windows in downtown Kalispell, which was confirmed by the County Attorney's office in Flathead County.

A representative at the Flathead County attorney's office said, common scheme criminal mischief is like someone writing a lot of bad checks knowing there is no money in the account.

The parents of the 15-year old girl, Bridget and Mike Michlig wrote a letter to the editor stating that Larsen's actions should cause a revocation of the consent decree.

The Montana Attorney General's office says, Chief juvenile probation officer Barbara Monaco of Lake County administers the consent decree. Any reexamination and revocation of the consent decree must be conducted by Monaco.

Monaco said, she could not comment at press time. "I've made two phone calls to Flathead County," said Monaco. I spoke with someone on Thursday and someone prior to that but I have not received the information I need from Flathead County and am still waiting for it."
