Supports Jore

Editor,

Another election cycle is upon us and soon will have passed into history. The federal candidates, presidential-wise, seem to be a toss-up.

There is no Senate race this time and it appears that Dennis Rehberg is a certain winner. That leaves local and state {contests} to be determined. There is a relatively new party in this area - the Constitution party. A close friend of mine and many others in this area is Rick Jore, who is running on the Constitution ticket for state representative.

Rick is not new to this office, having served three terms as a Republican.

What is special about Rick? A remark often heard is that there is no difference between the two major parties. I was told one time that we now have one party with two names. Who can disagree when you observe that is happening nationally and statewide? It seems both are moving towards the center with each side melting down their own platform to a position of compromise. Then we are told, "That's the way to get things done."

Rick Jore has traits few political seekers possess. It is those traits that lead me to admire and support him Rick is a strong family oriented person. Character and values begin in the home. Rick's principles cause him to be solid in his thinking and not waver from his convictions.

Grover Cleveland said, "What good does it do to get elected and re-elected if you don't stand for something."

Rick believes in family values, quality education, protection of private property rights, lower taxation of personal property and income. He believes only, as most Montanans do, in marriage between a man and a woman. Rick feels that the votes of the people of the land should be making the laws we live by … Those laws should not be replaced by or declared unconstitutional by an over-zealous judge.

There are many more good reasons to support Rick Jore in his candidacy. If you agree with the things that have been stated, I know Rick will appreciate your vote.
