Don't be fooled by the propaganda
Editor,
Soon our nation will hold what I strongly believe will be the most important election of my life. We cannot survive as the nation that we love and honor, if we continue on the path of the last three years.
During this period our liberties have been threatened, the gap between the very rich and middle class has widened, corporate white collar crime was a national disgrace, a national budget surplus has turned into a future crushing deficit, protections for air, water, wildlife, forests and parks have weakened, and education and health care have been neglected.
The United States had risen to the to the position as the undeniable world's super power, respected by most, leading by example with our strong ideals and faith and with might as a last resort.
I have worked and traveled to many parts of the globe and have learn first hand how damaging this Administration's foreign policies have been to our respect and credibility among citizens of countries once our friends.
Justification for the invasion of Iraq has proven to be false. Brave American women and men have died or have been wounded by hasty, arrogant, go it alone actions, which do not make us safer from terrorism in the long term.
Don't be fooled by the propaganda. Instead, look at the record of this administration.
Citizens have an immense responsibility in the upcoming elections and opportunity to protect our liberties, freedoms and quality of life.
