RONAN - The Ronan Chiefs were sure not to disappoint homecoming fans last Friday as they blanked Browning 20-0.

Then again, anytime a defense can hold a team to 19 total yards there can't be much of a different outcome.

Ronan took advantage of Browning fumbles and put 14 unanswered points on the board in the first quarter. Both trips to the end zone came from Tim Gauthier. He made an impressive 61-yard trip to the goal line and followed the performance later in the second quarter with a four-yard run.

The second and third quarters proved to be fruitless for both teams. Browning was able to create some turnovers as the Chiefs fumbled a game total six times.

Browning was unable to capitalize however, and created their own share of problems. They gave up two picks that helped Ronan Chief, Ben White, with his 14-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter. Alan Skogen missed his third PAT attempt ending the game 20-0.

Despite Browning's inability to put up yardage, Ronan had no problem raking in 327 yards of real estate.

Ronan's next match-up is tomorrow at 7 p.m. in Columbia Falls.
