Geda Jacobson

POLSON - Geda Jacobson, 83, of Polson died on Sept. 13, 2004, after a short illness.

Geda was born April 22, 1921, to Norwegian immigrant parents, Gustave and Josephine Jacobson, at Velva, N.D.

She moved with her family to Wannaska, Minn., at the age of four.

She worked at several jobs in Minnesota before moving to Polson to help her sister, Linda Barnett, who had just moved here in 1953. Geda brought a home and was employed cleaning houses and doing other domestic employment until her death. She never married.

Geda was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, and sister Linda Barnett of Polson.

She is survived by her three sisters, Ina Sandland of Grygla, Minn., Audrey Reim of Holyoke, Colo., and Ruth Njaa of Wannaska; 21 nieces and nephews and their children and grandchildren. Her family will miss her greatly.

Geda's remains will be sent to Helgeson Funeral Chapel in Roseau, Minn., for services and burial.

Local arrangements are by the Grogan Funeral Home, Polson.
