We should not have gone to Iraq
Editor,
It seems to me so obvious - we should not have gone to Iraq. There are no weapons of mass destruction; there was no connection between Saddam Hussein and the horror of 9/11. These are the opinions of not just Democrats but many Republicans, including David Kay, Bush's personally picked weapons inspector, and the non-partisan 9-11 commission, chaired by a Republican and with an equal number of Republicans and Democrats. I believe Bush was either not smart enough to figure this out or he lied.
And now, people continue to suffer and die. It is not letting up. I ask myself, what is being accomplished? Have we delivered the Iraqis from one horrendous situation only to generate another?
There's got to be a better way. We need a change in direction. Check the facts.
