Arthur Duane 'Sarge' Reum
POLSON - A Vietnam Veteran and member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2986 and American Legion, Arthur Duane "Sarge" Reum, 59, of Polson, died of natural causes on Monday, Sept. 20, 2004, at St. Luke Hospital in Ronan.
He was born Jan. 11, 1945, in Hayes, Kan., to Arthur and Dorothy Reum. Sarge was very active in the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2986 in Polson, the American Legion, and Cooties.
He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur O. Reum, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and several veteran friends.
He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Reum and her companion, Bill Zens, of Polson; children, Scott and Colleen; two grandsons; brothers, Steve (Darlene) Reum of Ronan, Ronnie Reum of Polson, Fred (Melinda) Reum of California and Doug (Lynn) Reum of Polson; sisters, Frances Amaya of Polson, and Velva (Honey) Hall of Missoula, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Friday, Sept. 24, 2004, in the Grogan Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Widerholdt officiating. Burial with military honors was in Lakeview Cemetery. Pallbearers were his four brothers; Steve, Ronnie, Fred, and Doug and his dear friends Leonard Ridnour and Harold (Link) Utsond. Honorary pallbearers were all his many veteran friends.
Memorials may be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall, Polson.
