Florence Nelson Hedrick

POLSON - Florence Nelson Hedrick, 91, died on Sunday, Sept. 19, 2004, at Lily of the Valley, an assisted living home in Pablo.

Florence was born in North Dakota on Nov. 29, 1912. She spent most of her childhood and early adult years in Minnesota before moving to Polson in 1946.

Florence wed Myhre (Hank) Hedrick in December 1963 and the two enjoyed the rest of their lives in the Polson area.

Florence and Myhre were very active in their community, often entertaining friends and family at their home, no matter the occasion.

Florence provided help and support for Myhre throughout their years working on their farm and ranch.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Myhre.

She is survived by her sister, Alice Kirk, of Cascade; daughter Marilyn Ramsay of Polson; grandsons Richard Ramsay of Point Roberts, Wash., Graham Ramsay of Broomfield, Colo., and Geoff Ramsay of Missoula; nephews Stephen Eng of Seattle, Randy, Douglas and Lonny Kirk.

Services were held Sept. 23, 2004, in the Grogan Funeral Home at with the Rev. Paul Rowold officiating. Burial was in Lakeview Cemetery.
