Lack of sports coverage criticized

(Editor's note: We appreciate all negative and positive comments from our readers. We lost three good newspaper people, one with a solid sports background, in less than a week, and we are looking for a strong sports editor and reporters so that we may continue valued coverage of every team in our schools.

We do apologize to Ms. Salomon for lack of coverage of cross-country and to all the other coaches and students who do so well in our county sports teams.

We hope our readers, particularly our sports enthusiasts, realize that our lack of staff is a temporary situation, and we look forward to including all school sporting activities in the near future).

The Leader owes Ronan cross-country teams an apology for the lack of coverage in the last week's paper. All the students work very hard in these competitions and the total lack of coverage in the Leader is inexcusable.
