The courts are taking over

| April 7, 2005 12:00 AM

Editor,

America is being taken over by untouchable sinister forces — the courts. The recent ruling of the Supreme Court in the District 12 situation is an example that illustrates the courts' flagrant usurpation of the electoral process.

The U.S. Supreme Court in 2000 and the Montana state legislature in 2003 made laws to keep the courts out of the electoral process. Jean Windham's lawyer apparently has more clout with the Supreme Court than the legislature does. It is a sad thing when a candidate running on the Constitution Platform has the constitution violated to keep him out of office and swing the whole legislature to the liberals.

The case and the decision were wrong and the court knew they had no business touching it. It was illegal action, but that's the liberal style. It is 200 years too late, but the justice system needs to develop a strong self-purging procedure.
