Eileen Hoyt is an amazing person

Editor,

Recently a good friend of mine, Eileen Hoyt, was nominated and was recognized as an unsung hero by KTMF TV.

Eileen is truly an amazing woman. Not only is she morally and physically strong, but she is a dedicated wife, mother, friend, sister, and volunteer.

Eileen has been volunteering here in Polson for as long as I can remember. She has been a Scout leader with Pack 1947 for seven years. She has also served as committee chair, den leader, and assistant Cubmaster during that time. She has mentored more than 30 boys throughout that time. She has taken them hiking, biking, swimming, to basketball and baseball games. She has made sure that these boys have grown and progressed into God-loving, giving, caring, and morally good young men.

She has also coached soccer and baseball, which is her true passion. She coached the Polson Twins as first assistant coach and has now been coach for three years. Before that, she coached her older son's team.

She has been a volunteer at Cherry Valley School for eight years — serving as PTA president and classroom representative. She is an Art Docent and she volunteers weekly in each of her boys' classrooms. She is also a America Reads Volunteer. She is well loved by all the children that know her.

Her biggest service to our community is that which she gives to her church. She is the religious education coordinator for grades K-8 and she teaches the Grades 6,7 and 8 class. She helps with the sacrament classes also and leads the children's choir. She is a member of the Parish Council of Catholic Women, belongs to a prayer group and helps with cursillo/journeys. Her faith and love of God pours from her like a bright and shining light.

She works three jobs, and has started her own photography business with plans to open an antique photo studio in Polson soon.

The most amazing part about Eileen, though, is her dedication to her husband and three sons.

She is truly deserving of such recognition. Thanks, Eileen, for all that you do.
