Stella Vesta Bower Adams

PROCTOR — A memorial to celebrate Stella Vesta's life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 30, at Charlie and Dee Adams' cabin in Proctor with placement of the ashes beside her husband C.B. Adams. All family and friends are welcome.

Beloved mother and wife Stella Vesta Adams died on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, 2004, with many of her children, Charlie, Steve, Ruth and Maynard, spending her last days with her.

Stella Vesta will be remembered for her enduring love and loyalty to her family, her good cooking, her hard work as a ranch wife of many years and her sweet, peace-loving nature.

Stella Vesta was born Nov. 13, 1913, in the Big Draw country toward Niarada.

She met and married Charles Billings Adams from Proctor. Stella and Bill lived briefly in Wenatchee, Wash., before settling permanently in Proctor to ranch and raise a family.

Stella was preceded in death by her husband C.B. Adams.

She is survived by her children, Maurine, Ruth, Marvie, Maynard, Charlie and Steve and their families as listed: Maurine (Don) Little of California and their sons David and family of Oregon and Dean (Debbie), Danielle and Desiree of Minnesota; Ruth Setzer of Seattle and her children, Kenny, Kathy, Chris and Frank and families; Marvel (Buck) Kirkland of Issaquah, Wash., and their children, Mike (Lilliana) and Tyler and Mateo of Snoquamish, Wash., and Wendy (Tracy) Marquardt and Nicholas, Tracy Aaron, Jesse and Cody of Las Vegas; Maynard Adams of Kalispell; Charles W. (Dee) Adams of Polson and their sons, Troy Adams of Polson and his daughters Alisha (Zack) and Bradley Charles of Boise, Idaho, Alaina and daughter Aubrey of Anchorage, Alaska, Damon (Donna) and Nicole of Seattle, Ted (Tammy) Adams and their family, Trevor and Raeann of Fountain, Colo., Paul (Marsha) and Megan of Seagrove, N.C., and Zach Warren of North Carolina; and Steve D. (Kitt) Adams of Proctor and their sons, Ben (Amanda) Adams of Lolo and Whit R. Adams (Samantha) and their son, Wallace R. Adams of Livingston.
