Chamber directory is very beneficial

I wanted to share some comments from my guests. For the past five years we have owned and operated the Circle P Ranch Vacation Rentals on Highway 35.

Two years ago, I decided to join the Polson Chamber of Commerce. Why we waited so long, I do not know. This year the chamber came out with a membership business directory, listing the current members (before directory went to print). This directory has been extremely helpful for our guests. I have these directories in each bedroom for guests to take one … They have used the directory for many reasons — hours of operation for cinema, churches, fishing charter trips, boat tours, boat rentals, golfing, etc.This little directory is very big to the tourists.

I strongly encourage all Polson businesses that are not Chamber members to join before Dec. 31 to be included in the 2006 directory. The guests have the directory while traveling in the car, and call for reservations, etc. as most people travel with cell phones. I have had repeat guests, new guests and most important many new friendships. Guests this year were from Belgium, Australia, England, Norway, Germany and all over the U.S. have used the directory to the fullest extent, and it is just not for the time in Polson. They continue to use the directory once they have returned from their vacation. Those that purchased property have used the directory for their move, perhaps with a contractor, or another business that is listed, and needed to complete their move. I have encouraged local real estate offices to leave information about homes/land for sale as three out of 10 guests are interested in purchasing property.

This is a great, inexpensive way to market your business; if I can send my guest to you and your business, I will do that with the chamber directory at my finger tips.

Any information that tourists can use is found on the chamber website including upcoming events in the area. This helps when visitors make their travel plans, want to stay in Polson for a craft fair, car show, rodeo, county fair, water sports, and more … These are all important factors to tourists, and without the Chamber most would not know what was going on in Polson.
