Cooperative effort made Festival Day
Editor,
I would like to personally thank each of you for the time that you donated over the Polson Festival Days weekend. But I'm only one person and am unable to meet all of you in person to say thank you. This letter is the best way I could think of to get it done.
Polson Festival Days was a great success because of all the volunteers and organizations who participated. The Polson Chamber of Commerce congratulates the Mission Valley Cruisers on another successful "Cruisen by the Bay" and for all their efforts with Festival Days and the Bill Haley's Comets concert.
The Sandpiper Art Gallery put on yet another wonderful Art Festival on the courthouse lawn.
The Relay for Life again put on a another fun-filled event that not only raises research money and awareness of cancer, but also honors the memory of loved ones that we have lost. It also encourages those struggling now with cancer by honoring those who have won the battle and survived. I tip my hat to all of you.
None of this would have been possible if we did not have the people who donated hours upon hours of their personal time to make sure that everything happened without incident.
The Chamber Board and I thank all the people who came to our rescue for the Bill Haley's Comets concert. We could never have accomplished it without you. All the ticket takers, beer/soda concession workers and all those who pitched in where needed.
I especially thank my husband Joe for not only keeping me company while I sold tickets all day, but for also spending his free time helping to transport the drinks and then sticking around to help serve in the beer and water concession stand.
We thank Polson Fairgrounds, Inc. members for their help in getting ready for the concert and fireworks show. Thank you, Brenda, for sticking around and helping in the beer and water concession stand. A T-shirt doesn't even begin to say thank you, but we hope that you will enjoy them.
Special thanks to Fire Chief Tom Maloney, Polson Ambulance Service and firefighters who donated their time to the Festival Days and Comets concert.
I look forward to serving with all of you again.
