Dialogue is key to success

I would like to convey my special thanks to fire chief Tom Maloney and also to Karen Royce. I realize they sometimes have a tough job to perform, yet they worked with me in a spirit of cooperation and open constructive dialogue in getting me reopened without compromising legitimate fire, safety and structural concerns of the city and state, which made my undertaking much easier.

I welcome such dialogue from those in authority and am most receptive to that frame of mind. We are all citizens working together for the greater good, but I do emphasize that dialogue is the key, and working with each other, instead of against, in my opinion is the best avenue of approach to address any discrepancies that need to be resolved.

I now have respect for Polson's fire policy and those who enforce it, because that is what they had for me.
