Leroy E. Thrift
POLSON — Leroy E. Thrift, 74, died Aug. 11, 2005, at Polson Rehab Center.
He went in the Navy at the age of 17 years and served five years on the destroyer USS Fechteler. After his Navy service, he was a boilermaker by trade. Throughout his life his interests were boxing, fishing and hunting.
Born in Pablo on Dec. 17, 1930, to Leroy and Peggie Thrift, he is survived by one sister, Betty Ward, of Seattle; one niece, Sharon Toupe and family; four nephews. Dale Ward, Wallace Toupe, Gary Ward, and Michael Ward, their wives and families.
He requested no service, so remember him in your hearts.
