Parade of Lights was fun, meaningful
Editor,
The Polson Alliance Church had the privilege of placing a float in the Parade of Lights in Polson last Friday night, Dec. 2. What a great way to herald in the season of Christmas and what fun we had!
Many thanks to the Polson Business Community (PBC) who through their president, Jackie Cripe, joyfully assisted us with all needed information and encouragement to participate.
I don't think we appreciate how much the PBC works for our small but growing town. They have a vested interest in Polson because they own both homes and businesses here.
We might well remember to shop in their stores before we head out of town to Missoula and Kalispell. If you haven't met some of our business owners as yet, you have missed meeting some delightful people who truly care about this town.
The Parade of Lights is a wonderful and key opportunity to start our Christmas season honoring God. Every church in our valley may join in this great celebration parade. Families line our streets and with smiling faces, wait in anticipation to see what we have to show them to start out our Christmas season.
Our parade could be twice as long and meaningful if our churches chose to participate. Most families in our town will not see the inside of our decorated church buildings, so let's go out and have some fun where the people are and make a difference for the Savior. "Come let us adore Him."
