Esther V. Pinkerman

POLSON — Esther V. Pinkerman, 95, of Polson died at her home at the St. Joseph Assisted Living in Polson on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2005.

Esther was born on Feb. 28, 1910, in Glencoe, Minn., to Fred and Johanna Wolters. She moved to Outlook, at the age of six and attended schools in Outlook.

She married Marion Buzzard on Feb. 28, 1929, in Outlook. They farmed together near Outlook. They had two boys together.

They moved to Saco and lived there for two years and eventually moved to the east shore of Flathead Lake. She and Marion later divorced.

Esther married Karl Pinkerman in 1965. Esther worked at D.G.'s Lunch in Polson for eight years, at Harbour Pharmacy for three years and at the variety store for a short time. Esther also worked at their cherry orchard during the 35 years she lived on east shore. She lived at the St. Joseph Assisted Living for the past five years.

Esther enjoyed handwork an handcrafting.

She was preceded in death by her husband Karl in 1997; her son George "Corky" Buzzard in 1995 and a sister, Irene Stratton.

She is survived by her son Marion "Mick" Buzzard and his wife Nona of Yuma, Ariz.; step-daughter, Vi (Escoe) Lewis of the eastshore; step-son- Duane ( Ruth) Pinkerman of the east shore; three grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place and no services are planned.

Memorials may be made to the Lake County Hospice.
