Jeremiah D. Watkins

Jeremiah D. Watkins, 27, of Seattle went to be with the Lord on Dec. 1, 2005. Jeremiah was born on Oct. 21, 1978, in Minot, N.D. Jeremiah is survived by his loving wife of five years, Heather (Sims) Watkins; parents, former Mission Valley residents, Stanley and Rebecca Watkins of Midland, Texas; aunt and uncle, Gloria and Ed Roberge of Loon Lake, Wash.; aunt and uncle, Sandy and Steve Shade of Medford, Ore.; numerous cousins, parents-in-law, Daniel and Joyce Sims of Deer Park, Wash.; and sisters-in-law, Heidi and Hillary Sims.

Jeremiah graduated from Deer Park High School in 1997 and continued his education at Eastern Washington University, completing a degree in recreation management.

In July 2000, Jeremiah married his high school sweetheart, Heather Sims. In 2003, Jeremiah and Heather moved to Anacortes, Wash., where Jeremiah went back to school to complete a Master's degree in teaching from the University of Washington. Jeremiah was to graduate in June 2006.

He was a devoted, loving husband, son, and friend, whom will be missed dearly.

We will remember him for his energy, spirit, compassion and selfless acts of kindness. The family would like to thank everyone for their support, prayers and generosity.

Services were held at Northview Bible Church in Spokane on Dec. 12. A memorial fund is set up in Jeremiah's name at U.S. Bank in Seattle.

Bleitz Funeral Home of Seattle was in charge of arrangements.
